Shobhna is a Registered Psychologist who is currently completing further training in Clinical Psychology as a Clinical Psychology Registrar.
Shobhna brings a person-centred approach to her work with clients from 14 years and up who present with issues including; chronic health, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, emotional dysregulation, stress management, sleep difficulties, and interpersonal difficulties. Her experience in hospital settings has given her expertise in working across the lifespan in short- and long-term therapy and in both face-to-face and online modes.
Shobhna believes in building a collaborative working relationship with her clients to help them; navigate their way through life transitions, maximise their strengths and develop strategies to assist them moving forward. Her primary therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also drawing on approaches such as motivational interviewing therapy, schema-informed work and mindfulness, and and adapts tools to best support her clients individual needs.
